Acute versus Chronic Plantar Fasciitis - Understanding the Differences

Acute plantar fasciitis refers to the early stages of the condition, typically characterized by sudden onset pain in the heel or arch of the foot. It is often caused by a sudden increase in physical activity, improper footwear, or overexertion.

On the other hand, chronic plantar fasciitis is a persistent, long-term condition, where the pain and inflammation have been present for an extended period. It can be the result of untreated acute plantar fasciitis or ongoing factors such as repetitive stress or inadequate healing.

Laser therapy can be beneficial for both acute and chronic cases, as it helps reduce inflammation and promotes healing in the damaged tissue.
